Hitting the Gym – A Key to Getting Over Your EX

One of the most important immediate actions you should take after a breakup with your EX is hitting the gym.    Hard.

Do it yesterday

By the gym, any form of hard exercise that lasts from 45 minutes to an hour, at least five days a week.  Six is even better with some sort of stretching or yoga mixed in on day seven.

Why is this so important?

First, your head is a mess.  Any and all diversions from the overactive mind are a good thing.  Especially one that will promote the release of endorphins.

Endorphins are chemicals that chemicals that interact with your brain when released, and these reduce your perception of pain.   You are looking for a little pain relief right now, aren’t you?

Additional benefits of exercise include improved sleep, reduced stress, better self-esteem, and it wards off depression.   So basically everything that the break up with you have going on can be mitigated getting that ass into the gym.

What Should I Be Doing at the Gym?

This is where most guys get paralyzed by over analyzing all of the options available today.  If you’ve been an athletic guy in the past, you probably know what to do.  If not, you’ve just got to pick something and go with it.  Just do it now, and change it up later if necessary.

Most Red Pill blogs and forums heavily push the “lifting’ is the be all and end all,  and you really can’t go wrong there.  A super simple formula of lifting four times a week and doing cardio twice a week is one way to go.

High intensity interval training (HIIT) is another great option if you are looking to drop some pounds, and get into the best shape of your life.   Google it up and take a look, its a lot more fun than just running.  You’ll also build some muscle though not as much as if you go with a hardcore lifting regimen.

Excuses are for losers.

Don’t make excuses.  Don’t say you can’t afford a gym.  Don’t say you don’t have the time.  Your lady just dropped your ass so you have at least 10 extra hours a week at your disposal.

Getting into the gym, getting your ass into shape, and getting all the benefits mentioned earlier is ground zero when it comes to getting over an EX.

If your a fat ass and broke right now, buy a second-hand set of P90X or Insanity DVDs off of eBay or craigslist.

Another option if you’re way out of shape is T25 program by Beachbody for the first 30-60 days of your journey.  Then start in on P90X.   This is the poor mans alternative to joining the local gym or recreation center.

Raising your Attractiveness Level

A massive side benefit of getting into the gym is that you will become more attractive to the opposite sex.

Consider that you are an average looking “6” when your EX breaks up with you.  If you hit the gym hard, buy some new clothes, get an attractive new haircut, and improve your social life, you could easily emerge as an “8” with six months of hard work.

Emerging as a better man in six months will open up better and hotter women to you.  Along the way you will feel more confident, build a better body, and gain emotional control.  All keys to getting over your EX and finding someone better.
